Why Murder in the Cemetery takes place at Maple Hill Cemetery

According to Wikipedia, Maple Hill Cemetery is the oldest and largest cemetery in Huntsville, Alabama. I dates back 1822. It started small with a mere two acres but now has nearly 100 acres.

Many don't realize it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2012! Buried there are five Alabama Govenors and five United State senators.

While that is impressive, I placed this cemetery in my novel because of its tranquil beauty. I could think of no better place for some of my ghosts to hang out.
